CODE. is insignificant. They always have been and they always will be. I am not sure why there was any anticipation of any other result than what ended up happening. Did people really expect them to fight against ships with guns?
The moment they form a real fleet (even a rifter blob would be fine by me) and come out to null is the moment they will have my attention and respect. |

If the goal of entering was to have fun and cause hilarious stories for almost all of EVE to laugh with, we'd have forfeited.
If some of us had bet on a 100-0 whelping, we might also have forfeited.
If RvB or a third party offered us good ISK, we might have forfeited.
Draw your own conclusions.
Not laughing with. Laughing at. If you wanted to be laughed with, a fleet of T1 fit T1 frigs named "Catalyst" would have gotten the same attention, and far, far less genuine derision. A fleet of mining barges would have trumped that. Battle ventures maybe, or suddenly Badger! (*disclaimer I have no idea if AT rules actually permit these, but you get the idea.) Used to be a fan of the code antics - opening up the sandbox, forcing people to adapt, countering the myth of "safe" space, creating an intelligent bastard persona for it's pilots and the alliance to fence with the miner-whiners. Now... Too many juvenile hangers on, living off the shadows of past rhetoric and believing the great joke to be reality. o/

Tell me then, what are the properties of the excuse you guys wouldn't cry about ? How about this? Guys, we royally screwed up. We never even got 12 people to x up, we didn't have a team, and we didn't really hold any practices. We were desperately looking for any excuse to cover up our own incompetence, so when RvB banned some gank ships we decided to just mass log off and concoct a tale of a 200 billion isk bribe to throw the match. It was obviously all a farce the entire time, and we humbly apologize for the humiliation we have brought upon our alliance and the entire Eve community. We will strive to improve in the future, and accept the justified permanent ban from all future Alliance tournaments. Yours, Loyalanon, CEO But shouldn't it be at least consistent? I mean how can we mass logoff the team if there is no team? And how does this reflect the fact that we completely won the whole thing? What's wrong with: "we don't care, lulz. umadbro?". I mean it is much shorter and you could just man up a bit and not cry about it. That would be so much easier for everyone.
I approve of this....you won your rightful place as laughing stalks of the sandbox. Go "create" some more fail game content for us to laugh at. While you are at it.....plz make me a sammich. |
